1917 Assumption Commencement

Assumption School Commencement

The closing exercises and conferring of Academic honors of the Assumption school will be held in the opera house Sunday evening, June 10th. The Very Reverend T. J. Murtagh, V. F., will confer the honrs and Rev. Ernest J. McDonald will deliver the address. The graduates are:

Ruddy, Genevivie Marie
Daly, Marguerite Regina
Bird, Philip E.

A musical and literary program will be given; also a play entitled “The Bell in the Forest,'” by pupils of the school.

Ferrie, Gerald D.
Henry, Miles J.
Glass, Mabel L.
Heyberger, Violetta R.
Milz, Mary A.
Woods, Beatrice M.
Zender, Berenice C.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 11th.

The program in the opera house will begin at 8 o’clock and admission is 50 cents.

The banquet to be tendered by the Academic pupils to the graduates of the class of 1917 of Assumption school will be given Sunday afternoon, prior to the commencement exercises. The banquet is to be carried out with all the usual dainty accessories of class flowers, bon-bons in class colors, place cards and favors. Misses Nellie Daly, Alice Glass, Mary Nolan and Regina Owens of the class of 1916 will serve the following menu:

First Course
Fruit Cocktail

Second Course
Fried Chicken Spiced Baked Ham
Creamed Mashed Potatoes
French Peas
Olives Pickles
French Rolls

Third Course
Snow Flakes
Combination Spring Salad

Fourth Course
Ice Cream Cake
Bon-Bons Salted Almonds
Coffee
